This type of electrical plug is grounded. It has three round pins. The pin in the middle is grounded. The J-type socket is very similar to the N-type socket but they are not compatible. This socket has a grounding pin located more on the edge. A device with a type C plug can be connected to a type J socket. The type J socket is designed for up to 10 Amp.
